Once you have created an offer letter template to use when inviting new employees to onboard, you also have the ability to further customize that template for a specific person.
Customizing the template happens entirely inside the invitation process. Once you are on the Additional Documentation stage and have selected the template you want to customize, you will see a new link to the right of the select box - “Customize Offer Letter”.
Click this link to open the edit window for the selected offer letter template. When you’re finished making your changes, click Save Custom Template at the bottom to save your changes and assign the custom template to your new user.
The newly customized offer’s name will be “Custom - [parent template name]” to signify that this is a custom template you’ve created. If you create and save your custom template and realize you need to make an edit to it, simply click “Customize Offer Letter” when the custom template is selected to bring up the edit window again and make more changes. If you decide to not use the custom template, that’s okay, too. Just choose another template from your list.
Note: A customized offer letter will not be added to your list of offer letter templates in your Onboarding Settings area, nor will you see custom offer letters you’ve created for other new hires when selecting an offer letter during the invitation process.
