How to Add Account Numbers in QuickBooks

Click on the "Edit" tab in the top left.

Select "Preferences"

Choose "Accounting"

Choose the "Company Preferences" tab on the top of the window

Check the "Use Account Numbers" box


You may have to go in and assign account numbers to each account that you want payroll information to post to. This will give you that ability.
