How to Change your Start Time While Clocked In

Introduction:
This article is for employees or contractors who need to request a change to their start time while already clocked in. If you realized that your clock-in time is incorrect and want to adjust it, you can submit an edit request directly from your Timecard in the system. Follow the steps below to request a change and ensure your time is accurate.

Steps to Change Your Start Time:

  1. Access Your Timecard:

    • From the left-hand menu, click on Timecard.

    • On the Dashboard, locate the "My Time" widget and click the View/Edit Timecard button.

    Note: At the top of your Timecard, you'll see the time you clocked in for your current shift.

Select the Time Entry to Edit:

  • On your Timecard, find the entry with a Category of 'Running' (this is your active shift).
  • Click the EDIT button next to the time entry that needs to be changed.

 

Edit Your Clock-In Time:

  • A new window will open, showing the details of your time entry.
  • Click the edit icon next to the clock-in time. 
  • Adjust the hours as needed to reflect your correct start time.
  • Optionally, you can enter any applicable Notes to explain the reason for the change.

Submit Your Edit Request:

  • Once you've made your changes, click the EDIT REQUEST button to submit.
  
  • Refresh your page to see the updated start time, which will be displayed as pending until it’s approved.
Note: You’ll see the adjusted hours on your Timecard, but the change won’t be final until it is approved by your supervisor. Once approved, your total hours will be updated.

Troubleshooting:
Why is my start time still pending?
  • After you submit your request, the adjusted time will remain pending until it's reviewed and approved by your supervisor or the HR team. If your request is taking longer than expected, reach out to your supervisor for an update.
