How to Review ACH Transactions

Introduction: This article will guide you through the process of reviewing ACH transactions within the E-Services portal. Whether you need to track processed payments, view scheduled transactions, or verify specific e-payments, this guide will show you how to easily access and review this information.

Steps/Procedures:

  1. Access the ACH Transactions Screen:

    • Navigate to the main menu on the left-hand side of the screen and select E-Services > ACH Transactions.
  2. Select the Date Range:

    • On the ACH Transactions screen, enter the desired date range in the From and To fields. By default, the system displays transactions from the previous month.
  3. Filter by Payment Type:

    • To refine your search, use the Type drop-down menu to select the specific type of ACH transaction you wish to view, such as Direct Deposit, Taxes, Child Support, or Billing. The default setting is "All" types.
  4. Choose Transaction Type:

    • Further narrow your results by selecting Credits Only, Debits Only, or Both under the Transaction Type options. This will limit the display to only credit transactions, only debit transactions, or both, respectively.
  5. View Transactions:

    • Click the View button to apply your filters. The table will update to show the transactions matching your criteria.
  6. Analyze the Results:

    • The table will display key details for each transaction, including:
      • Type of e-payment
      • Payee Name
      • Amount (Debit or Credit)
      • Status
      • State (for Tax or Child Support payments)
      • Trace Number
      • Transaction Date
      • Date Sent
      • Settlement Date
      • Return Code and Wired Amount, if applicable
      • Hold Status (if processing is on hold)
  7. View Detailed Transaction Information:

    • For additional details, click on the Trace Number for a specific transaction. A pop-up window will appear showing the ACH Transaction Details report. This report includes comprehensive information such as:
      • Employer Name
      • Federal EIN
      • Employee ID
      • Transaction Amount
      • Date and Time Sent
      • Settlement Date
      • Receiving Bank RTN
      • Receiving Bank Account
      • Outgoing Trace Number
    • You can download or print this report by clicking the appropriate icons.

Troubleshooting:

  • No Transactions Displayed: Ensure that the date range is correctly set and that the correct type of transaction is selected in the filters.
  • Missing Trace Numbers: If a trace number is not appearing, the transaction may still be processing. Try refreshing the screen or checking back later.
  • Review Non-ACH Payments: If you need to review tax payments made outside of ACH credit, visit the Tax Payments screen for more information.
