PEO - COBRA Benefit Process

When leaving the guHRoo PEO and your employer and have active benefits, you will be afforded the option to participate in our COBRA Benefit program. 

Here are important information regarding you current benefits. 
  1. Your active benefits are/will be effective till the last day of the month of your last day worked.
  2. Your COBRA benefits, should you elect them, will be effective the first day of the following month, or the next day after your active benefits end.
  3. You have up to 45-days to remit your first payment, with a grace-period of 30-days on any outstanding payment or you plan may be terminated.
  4. The COBRA plan is available for up to 18 months, subject to extension due to certain circumstances.
  5. The COBRA Election Letter will outline which benefits are and can be continued with the plan.
  6. COBRA is a monthly payment and a coupon/letter is mailed to you monthly to remit payments
